Advantage 1: the feeling of pushing back brought by strong power
As a pure electric vehicle, BYD Han EV perfectly has the very rapid starting acceleration ability brought by the high torque output of electric vehicle motor. The official acceleration score of 100 kilometers takes only 3.9 seconds, and this performance can even be compared with luxury and super-running. For users, what is more important is probably the strong sense of pushing back brought by this strong power.
Question 1: The charging noise is loud.
The so-called super charging technology of BYD Han EV has some problems in actual use, the prominent one is the loud noise, and the design of the charging head of BYD Han EV is not reasonable, so charging is relatively inconvenient.
Problem 2: The assisted driving is not perfect.
Generally speaking, new energy vehicles have more obvious advantages in intelligence than traditional fuel vehicles. However, BYD Han EV is not only an L2-level automatic driving assistance system, but also does not perform well in actual driving. For example, Han EV can’t turn on ACC alone, but must keep driving together with the lane. For example, Han EV’s lane line recognition is not in place, and it can’t be used as long as the road conditions are almost the same.
Problem 3: The brake foot feels bad.
Perhaps the coordination between BYD Han’s energy recovery system and braking is not done well, which leads to its stiff foot feeling at the beginning and end of braking, and even a "nod" situation.
Question 4: The actual cruising range has shrunk seriously.
Like many new energy vehicles, BYD Han EV also has a shortened cruising range. Due to congenital factors such as structure, it is difficult to ensure its power-off speed even if Han EV adds many insulation measures, especially in winter and colder northern regions. According to the feedback from car owners, the official cruising range of 550 kilometers is only 400 kilometers, and most car owners say it can only reach about 350 kilometers.
Question 5: The accelerator pedal area is too small.
Byd Han also has a very serious safety problem, that is, the distance between the pedal and the baffle used to protect the mechanical structure above is too close. Basically, as long as the foot is about 40 yards, the toe will touch the protective plate if the foot is slightly lifted up. However, if you switch between braking and throttle very quickly and frequently in the actual driving process, your feet will basically hit the protective plate every time, which is very easy to cause misoperation of driving and affect driving safety.
Problem 6: Too comfortable chassis adjustment affects vehicle handling.
In terms of suspension, BYD Han EV adopts the multi-link suspension structure before McPherson. Although some people call it the "chopsticks" chassis, you will know that this statement is not true after driving BYD Han EV. The main problem of BYD Han EV chassis is that it is too comfortable to adjust, which will make it difficult for drivers to control the vehicle perfectly when the vehicle is accelerating rapidly, which is obviously incompatible with BYD Han EV’s strong acceleration power from the aspect of maneuverability.
Problem 7: The rotary central control panel is not practical.
The central control panel in BYD Han EV car adopts a rotary design, which sounds cool, but in fact, it is very practical, and this function is basically not needed for daily driving. Han EV integrates most of the functions inside the vehicle into the central control panel, but its touch performance is not so good, and the car system also has the problems of slow running speed and many bugs. In this case, it is very inconvenient to have no physical buttons in the car.
Question 8: Small trunk space.
Because the battery pack occupies part of the space, even compared with most new energy vehicles, BYD’s trunk space is still relatively small, with weak loading capacity and good practicability. In addition, there is no trunk in the front cabin of BYD Han EV, mainly because BYD Han still has a DM version, so it must be compatible with oil and electricity. For the sake of placing an engine and gearbox in the front cabin, the front cabin of BYD Han has to be similar to the traditional model, and the final result is that BYD Han still has certain limitations in the front cabin design.
